• Helped to secure passage of energy legislation that promotes new construction of power plants and extends federal liability protections for member firms;

• Actively promotes legislation in Congress to boost federal funding for the nation’s water infrastructure needs;

• Secured passage of brownfields legislation which will result in more work for ACEC member firms;

• Partners with NCEES to provide the engineering industry with a learning management system called RCEP.net, featuring courses and professional development hours acceptable to state licensing boards.

• Through its Organizational Peer Review Program, enables design firms to cost-effectively review and improve their management practices;

• Harnesses the creativity and know-how of its broad membership in the development of policies and programs to benefit the engineering industry;

• Annually recognizes the "best" engineering projects in the nation through its "Academy Awards of the Engineering Industry" –' the Engineering Excellence Awards;

• Through its cutting-edge weekly newsletter, Last Word, delivers news on the latest legislative initiatives and business services;
