ACEC Indiana is coordinating classroom visits with elementary, middle, and high schools across the state to celebrate Engineers Week 2025. This is the 12th year ACEC Indiana has hosted National E-Week classroom visits.

More than 190 volunteers from ACEC Indiana, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), Indiana Department of Public Works, Citizen’s, and other municipal partners will visit more than 200 classrooms and connect with over 7,000 students statewide. ACEC Indiana volunteers will share experiences from their careers, describe what civil engineers do on a day-to-day basis, and how their work impacts the world we live in.

ACEC Indiana held two special E-Week events:

Children’s Museum of Indianapolis – Volunteers met with hundreds of students about civil engineering disciplines and careers.

Girl Scouts of Central Indiana – 24 Girl Scouts earned their STEM Journey and Take Action Badges.

ACEC Indiana and their volunteers were interviewed by several media outlets this week. Watch two of their interviews below:

Fox59 IndyNOW ‘Engineering Activities’ (2.14.25)

WRTV Inside Indy ‘Constructing Curiosity’ (2.18.25)
