For the second consecutive year, The Hill has included ACEC in its list of Washington, DC’s top lobbyists. As with last year’s list, the Capitol Hill newspaper specifically named Linda Bauer Darr and Steve Hall for their advocacy efforts on behalf of America’s engineering industry.
Effective advocacy is ACEC’s primary objective, and the Council’s inclusion on this year’s list reflects that commitment. In recent years, ACEC has grown its Political Action Committee (PAC) to be one of the strongest national industry association PACs in Washington. The Council’s advocacy program has also expanded over the past year to address the growth in the energy sector, the pressing workforce shortage in engineering, the opportunities emerging technologies like AI will bring to the industry, and most notably, a Council-wide effort to fix the R&D amortization issue before the end of the year.
While The Hill recognizes ACEC National’s efforts before Congress and the White House, it is essential to remember our member firms and federation of 51 state and metropolitan Member Organizations (MOs) that work tirelessly each day to promote the interests of the engineering industry nationwide.
This award reaffirms ACEC’s position as a driving force in advocating for policies that empower the engineering community and contribute to the nation’s progress.
